Welcome!
The Northwest Brass, a variable-instrumentation brass chamber ensemble, is composed of faculty members from the University of Idaho, Washington State University, Central Washington University, and the University of Wyoming. Through outreach tours and our upcoming Northwest Brass Summer Institute, we use musical education as a tool to promote practical life skills such as entrepreneurship and professionalism. Utilizing the flexibility of our Modular Music approach, the Northwest Brass tours regularly as a quartet, trio, and duo.
Some highlights from the site...to find out more about the Northwest Brass Summer Institute, please click on the Summer Institute section from the Northwest Brass tab. You can find information about our faculty musicians under our Members section and learn more about our exclusive music arrangements under the Modular Music tab.
Our website if full of music, audio and video clips, and other resources designed to help musicians make great chamber music. In particular, our Resources folder has suggestions for everything from purchasing sheet music to chamber groups we admire.
We'd love to hear from you. Use our secure form under the Contact tab, and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
Happy practicing!
